I adore this dress. First one I saw and ordered it online immediately. I will say this about the fit. I usually wear a 2 (not a vanity size) and ordered a size 4 not knowing how it would fit. Better to take it in right? SMART IDEA. This dress is tiny. If you usually wear a 25 waist and slim hips like me, I would still order a size up. Also, this dress fits tight in the chest and I’m a small A cup! I could not ask for a better gown. (The only thing I disagree with in the discription is the empire waist. This is not an empire waist.) Overall beautiful Swarovski detailing. Would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely gorgeous gown. It’s not at all what I had in mind for my second wedding, but it looked amazing on and I actually bought the store sample. I’m 5’5″, curvaceous with a very large bust (34G), smaller waist, and rounded hips and butt. In most clothes I wear a size 12 and the size 12 dress fit me perfectly (it only needs length alteration, really). It’s very flattering as it has a lace-up corset back which can cinch you in or can be slightly forgiving in other areas depending how tight you lace it. The A-line silhouette is very slimming for this size 12 woman, and it magically makes my bust look less gigantic! The back is really pretty with a lace covering, also flattering for someone who’s more modest and doesn’t want to show a lot of skin in a church wedding. I’m fair skinned and blond and the spun gold color looks great with my coloring (it also makes it look a little less bridal which I really wanted as an older bride at her second wedding).

Oh, and I would agree with Alee that this dress is not “empire waist” as stated in the description. I look terrible in empire waist fashions (I look pregnant in them!) and this dress is flattering. It does get very tight just under the bust (around the ribs) and then flares out in an A-line so maybe the tightness under the bust is the reason they call it “empire waist?”

🙂 Another note, this ignorant bride was wrong about the sizing..I thought the laces were supposed to meet ALL the way in the back without any spacing. I could have gone the size down. So I now recommend that you order your natural size. I obviously know nothing about fashion, but Cat is absolutely right about how flattering the A line is.

Hi! I absolutely love this dress but I’m having trouble finding a place to order it. Where did you gals order your dresses?

    Thanks!

Where did you ladies find your dresses? I really love the Sophia Tolli Beatrice but I can’t seem to find it anywhere! This design is from the 2008 collection, so I would love a heads up as to where y’all found your Beatrice gowns.
